Dutchbeards Devil's Cut Beard Oil (30ml)

On the Devil's Cut Beard Oil, Dutchbeards has recreated the old scent of the Devil's Cut. Although they couldn't use a 50-year-old rum barrel as they have done in the past, they did have access to some very nice fragrances from renowned perfume houses which allowed them to come quite close.

The Devil's Cut beard oil starts with the sweet and deep notes of tonka beans and oudh, combined with the roughness of leather and smoke. To add more depth, they chose a creamy vanilla tone and a bit of extra wood in the form of sandalwood. Rum comes in many flavors and scents, which gave Dutchbeards the freedom to find the best combination. They began with pink pepper, thyme, incense, and cardamom. To freshen the palette, they included lime and lemon. The fruity notes of apple, raspberry, and plum may surprise you at times. To evoke the experience of the old rum barrel, they used several different types of wood. Cedarwood, guaiac wood, mahogany, and juniper, this combination, in their view, is the ideal mix to achieve this. Tobacco, amber, and musk elevate the scent to a higher level. Since they couldn't rely on real rum (or whiskey), they chose to approach its scent using jasmine and heliotrope. Vanilla bourbon finishes it off and ensures you may detect a hint of rum or even whiskey in the distance. In short, a very complex scent that they find amazing!

The base of Devil's Cut beard oil is a combination of Avocado oil and Castor oil. Avocado oil has a good protective effect on both your skin and your (beard) hair. Castor oil, oil from the wonder tree, lives up to its name. The oil is thick and has highly moisturizing properties. It also gives your beard a nice shine. Both oils are thick and sturdy, giving this beard oil a solid base. Furthermore, they use pure Argan oil, also a miracle worker for both skin and hair. Grape seed oil is full of vitamins and is also well absorbed by your beard and skin. These last two oils are thin and give the mixture the right consistency. Baobab oil is not commonly found in beard oils, but this oil also works wonders for your hair. It has a restorative effect and makes your hair more elastic (thus less vulnerable). So, this oil can also be found in Devil's Cut beard oil. Finally, they added Vitamin E oil, which acts as a preservative for the oil but also has a lovely nourishing effect on your skin and hair.
