The beauty of the Derby blades is that they are very forgiving, making them perfect for beginners as well as for men with sensitive skin.

Are Derby Blades very sharp?

In terms of sharpness, Derby blades rank 1 on a scale of 5, meaning they aren't very sharp. This makes them particularly suitable for those starting with a Safety Razor or a Shavette. With these blades, you're less likely to nick your skin. However, if you have very coarse beard growth, these blades might not be the best choice.

How long do Derby razor blades last?

The longevity of the blades depends on how much you shave. If you use a shavette just for contouring your beard, the blades will last quite long. If you use a safety razor to shave all your beard hair (which we, of course, don't recommend – let your beard grow!), the blades won't last as long. However, you can get multiple shaves out of each blade, making them more cost-effective than, for example, mach3 blades.
